CPR and AED – Course Information

This course can be regulated or unregulated according to your needs. There are several variants available including those needed by medical doctors and dentists. The courses provides delegates with specific skill sand knowledge to use an Automated External Defibrillator and a refresher on practical cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The course is highly recommended for First Aiders who have an AED in the workplace. The course duration is one day (6hours).

The topics covered by this qualification are regarded by Skills for Health as being important to improve the chances of casualty recovery whenever resuscitation is needed that involves a problem with heart rhythm (and an AED is available)

All successful delegates will be issued with a CPR and AED certificate along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their achievement. The medical and dental care sectors need to retake this course each year to comply with current requirements.

The qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration of competence and a theory test which consists of written multiple choice questions or verbally through question and answer with the tutor/assessor. The course also conforms with continuous professional development (CPD) guidelines and  statement of CPD is available after course completion.
